Red Electric
Why is it that electric stove elements always show up white on camera, but are red to the naked eye?
I filed a scene for a movie with a camcorder and the heating elements on my friend's electric stove showed up bright white, but to the naked eye they were bright red, as most electric elements are. I thought it was isolated to that specific camera, but then I saw two other videos on the Internet with the same issue.
It truly doesn't make any physical sense why cameras would pick up red electric elements as being bright white.

You need a fast shutter speed to get that pic. Otherwise, is it like the element is over-exposing the shot.
