Headless Vampire
What is the proper name for this style of dress?

I'm trying to find a certain type of dress for a Halloween costume, but I can think of a correct term to put it as. If you use Yahoo Avatars, in the extras section under Halloween is the box titled 'headless body ghostly "and that is the dress I'm looking for. It is the style that would take place in the 1700s to late 1800s. Something that would in Interview with the Vampire, Pirates of the Caribbean and Underworld. They have a very tight top like a corset and the bottom is very large, round and poofy. Also not sure if I asked this question in the category of law. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your answers.

You are looking for a Colonial dress. Victorian Not by any means ... Felicity http://www.history.org/history/clothing/women/anatomy.cfm collection of American Girl dolls also carries this style.
