How to identify affinity series for squire stratocaster.?
Hi, I have a fender squire stratocaster. How do I identify if it is of the affinity series, or another?

Hello! There are a couple of things you can check. First, there should be a small “Affinity” decal on the headstock, as shown at http://elderly.com/images/fmic/30N/SQAFSM-2SB_headstock-front.jpg . Next, the serial number should start with “CY”, “IC”, or “CAX” depending on source-of-manufacture and particular model, and would look like http://elderly.com/images/fmic/30N/SQAFSM-2SB_headstock-back.jpg . I cannot say that these checks are 100% consistent for the various years of production, but it is a good starting place! Best regards, Dana
